Participate in Bundle-Up Events – Help us spread the warmth!
October and November host a variety of Personal Shopping trips with our corporate sponsors and local sports teams, including The Pittsburgh Steelers, The Pittsburgh Penguins, and The Pittsburgh Pirates. WTAE-TV personalities, as well as corporate sponsors such as Citizens Bank, Peoples Natural Gas, Highmark, Vector Security, Key Bank and many more, all sponsor personal shopping trip(s). These volunteer shoppers brighten the day of area children in need, by providing them with warm winter outerwear.

Are you a school wondering how your students can give back to the community? Look no further!
It’s an exciting time at project Bundle-Up. We have partnered with the Pittsburgh Pirates to Fundraise the Jolly Roger to raise the necessary funds to bundle-up our community this coming winter. Not only is Fundraise the Jolly Roger a fun way to engage schools through philanthropy, students also have an opportunity to help vulnerable children within their own community. As a bonus, they can win great prizes while supporting the Buccos.
The school that raises the most money for project Bundle-Up will receive the GRAND PRIZE – a visit to your school from a Pittsburgh Pirates player including a Q&A session, photo opportunities, and for the highest fundraising classroom – an autograph opportunity.
In addition to a visit from the Pittsburgh Pirates, the winning school will be invited to do an on-air check presentation at the 2020 WTAE-TV project Bundle-Up Telethon. Other prizes are to-be-determined with levels listed below and are limited to largest fundraisers:
- First five (5) schools to raise $1,000 or more
- First ten (10) schools to raise $750 or more
- First twenty (20) schools to raise $500 or more
- New this year, all participating schools will be eligible for a special discounted ticket offer
If you are interested in organizing an event, dress down day, or fundraiser to benefit Project Bundle-Up, let us know! We’ll be happy to help and promote it as well.
